Julie's belief that many are the paths that lead to understanding, clarity and confidence fuels her efforts to guide students, both neurotypical and neurodivergent, to greater achievement and success. Her thirty years of experience in the world of education, teaching and tutoring math and test prep give her an edge over many other tutors.
If your child's high school is in Brooklyn or Manhattan, she probably knows their school and teacher's expectations. Students who learn differently feel safe and understood when they work with her. As a member of the National Test Prep Association, she keeps close tabs on the world of standardized testing to ensure she prepares her students well for the test. Many students from all over the country have significantly improved their scores on all sections of the ACT and SAT after working with Julie.
A child's social and emotional being affects their progress. That's why she pays close attention to all of each student's needs, not just the academic ones. It's rare to find tutors as dedicated and determined to help as Julie. She promises all of her students, that to the best of her ability, she has their back.

"We hired Julie to do a quick review of math skills with our three teenagers as they prepared for the SAT and ACT. The two that needed the least amount of help appreciated the review and tips she offered. They both were pleased with their results. My third child needed more time with Julie as she hadn’t been taught all the math concepts she would need to take the SAT. This child has an aptitude for math and benefited from the extra tutoring needed to be brought up to speed. She hasn’t received her results yet but feels good about her performance in the math section. As a former math teacher, Julie is very adept at reading a child and working with parents on ways to reach the child. In our case a quiet, guarded teen. She found common ground with our child and they formed a solid working relationship.
